Dauphin Island is known for having some of the most stunning natural resources and landscapes in Mobile County.  Every visit to one of our parks is an opportunity for the entire family to learn and interact with natural and cultural history of Dauphin Island.

Aloe Bay

This is a small waterfront park located within Dauphin Island’s working waterfront. This park is an excellent spot for launching kayaks because of its sandy bottom and gradual entry. From here you can be fishing in the Mississippi Sound and estuaries within minutes.

Bayou Heron

Bayou Heron Park is a waterfront park located at 1608 Cadillac Ave. This park is equipped with a new Kayak Launch, a great place to launch your Kayak and enjoy the scenery.

Boating/Kayaking

Whether you are looking to reel in the big one or just explore the waterways of Dauphin Island, the possibilities are endless. Dauphin Island is home to one of the world’s largest fishing rodeos. Dauphin Island provides several public boat launches in addition to our new Bayou Heron Kayak Launch at 1608 Cadillac Ave. Come and explore Dauphin Island!

Cadillac Square

This is a beautiful park, rich in local history. The live oak trees throughout this historic site are all that remains of the home of Governor Cadillac and the capital of the Louisiana Territory. This park is used for festivals, birding, and large school groups.

East End Landing

The East End Landing has two public boat launches and a public fishing pier spanning 250 linear feet into the mouth of Mobile Bay. This landing is located on the east end of the Island. From here you can be fishing in the Gulf of Mexico within minutes.

Magnolia Park

This is a small pocket pedestrian park between the ferry landing and the Estuarium, and Fort Gaines.

Public Beach

Take the hassle out of your day and relax on our naturally scenic beaches and do not forget we are the only pet friendly beach in the region.

Payment is required and park at own risk.

  1. No refunds.

  2. Dauphin Island is not liable or responsible for any and all theft or damages to any personal belongings, including vehicles.

  3. Parking is first come first serve.

  4. Park in designated spaces.

  5. Vehicles illegally parked or obstructing traffic or vehicles left after hours will be towed at owners expense.

  6. No motorized vehicles on sand dunes or beach.

  7. “These dunes are not made for walking,” the sand dunes and Sea Oats are Federally protected.

  8. Please cleanup after yourself and your pets!

  9. Pets are allowed on the beaches, except for the West End Beach, but please keep them on a leash at all times.

  10. Fires and grilling is not allowed.

  11. Glass is not allowed.

  12. No metal detecting.

Wedding Venues

Dauphin Island’s Parks & Beaches make for some unforgettable special moments. Come celebrate your special occasion on Dauphin Island.

Fort Gaines:

Picture Situated on the eastern edge of Dauphin Island is historic Fort Gaines. This venue has a historic charm like no other venue. The fort also has commanding panoramic views of both Mobile Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. The Fort can easily hold up to 2,000 people, but it is still intimate enough for a small private function. There are areas of the Fort where power is limited.

Rates: $1,450

All rates are subject to change based on size of events.

Cadillac Square:

Picture Tucked within the woodlands of Dauphin Island is Cadillac Square. This venue is ideal for corporate picnics, oyster roasts, and community & family events. The historic Live Oak trees provide a gorgeous backdrop to any event. Cadillac Square can handle very large groups up to 500 people.

Rate: $50

Public Beach:

Picture Located in the heart of Dauphin Island is the Public Beach and Pier. The sugary-white sand, the cool oceans breeze and the calming sounds of the wave all make for one unforgettable special moment. This venue provides a number of options for special occasions.
