Q: What is an FAQ?

Q: What are the hours of operation for the Town Dumpster?
A: Friday 7am -3pm, Saturday 7am - 3pm

Q: What number should I call in case of an emergency?
A: 911

Q: What beaches can I take my dog to?
A: Dauphin has a leash ordinance which can be viewed in the Document Library, the public beach located next to Dauphin Island Elementary School allows dogs on leashes. The West End Beach does not allow dogs because of the bird nesting areas.

Q: Where do I go to purchase my Hurricane Re-entry card?
A: You may go by Town Hall Monday thru Thursday from 7:00am until 5:30pm.

Q: Can we have a bonfire on the beach?
A: No, ADEM has a statewide NO BURN BAND!

Q: Can I camp on a vacant lot or on the beach?
A: No camping allowed anywhere on the Island except at the Dauphin Island Campground on the east of the Island.

Q: Can I bring my own food and beverage to the West End Beach?
A: You can bring your own cooler with sodas, water and your own food but absolutely no outside alcohol or grills allowed in the park.

Q: What are the hours for the West End Beach?
A: The West End Beach is open 7 days a week from 10:00am until 6:00pm. On Friday,  Saturday and Sunday it is open until 10:00pm with music and entertainment at the West End Tiki Bar. Our summer season is Apr 1st thru Sept 30th.This is all contingent on weather permitting.

Q: What is the schedule for the Dauphin Island Shuttle service?
A: Dauphin Island Shuttle service runs 7 days a week. Winter hours are 7:30am until 4:30pm. Summer hours are 7:30am until 4:30pm. Apr 1 st thru Sept 30th.

Q: What is the schedule for the Mobile Bay Ferry?
A: The Ferry schedule is available 24/7 by calling 861-3000
